We had a great time at Zoo Atlanta. The zoo was clean, the animals were well cared for, and the volunteer staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that the pandas weren’t ready to be viewed yet, but that’s understandable. The parking garage is a bit of a walk, but it wasn’t too bad. Overall, it was a fun visit, and we’d definitely come back.
I've lived in Atlanta my entire life. I've been to the zoo plenty but now that I have kids, I love the zoo even more. There's a lot for the kids to do. My daughter played on the little playground by the naked mole rats for a while. My daughter loves carousels and train rides so I didn't even hesitate and purchased the unlimited ride wristband. We rode the carousel 4 times and the train 2 times. Well worth the money. We probably would have done more if we had more time. Next time, I'm going to start our day on the end of the zoo rather than ending our day there. My daughter is too young to do the other treetop activities but they did look fun. I did not pack her swimsuit to play in the little splash pad but that entire area is wonderful and we easily could have spent half the day just in that area. I LOVED that they had toddler friendly height toilets in the bathroom. It's the little things. I did not use any of the nursing stations but was happy to see them available. Will definitely be back to the zoo again sometime soon. PS If you ride the train, ride the caboose because you face backwards and my daughter loved it!
Kind workers and the layout of the zoo is nice. We went during the summer and some animals didnt have a lot of water (rhino and tortoise) it was very sad to see. The animals mostly layed down and didnt do much but i dont blame them bc the heat. The snake and frog enclosure was very intresting
The staff here are incredibly kind, the zoo is well kept with plenty to do for wee ones and bigger kids alike, and a new panda exhibit is coming! Definitely worth a stop. Note that there is a cost for parking, but you can spend 3 hours or all day there depending on your needs. Accessible and something for everyone. Make sure to check out the reptile house!
Our family has a zoo membership. We took our grandson to the zoo. We enjoyed it very much. It is a small zoo, but enjoyable. It was around 87 degrees today, hot, but the zoo has plenty of shade and places yo sit and rest. There were plenty of restrooms through the zoo. There was a few places to sit and eat. I love that they allow you to bring food and drinks in with you. Even with the heat, we were able to ser many of the animals. We'll be back again soon. We went again today fir a short visit. The temperature was perfect and many of the animals were out. We were able to see some of the animals that we were not able to see the last time that we visited. As stated in the first review, we look forward to going to the zoo many more times. Visiting the zoo helps us get our walking in as well. The layout of the zoo is great for getting a good walk in.
