5 stars
The Sun Dial delivers an unforgettable Atlanta experience. Meals are expensive and each person must order an entrée, but the stunning 360-degree views (best in the city), exceptional service, and top-quality food make it worth every penny.
The salmon and scallop entrées were phenomenal—perfectly cooked and flavorful. Drinks and apps were solid too. Generous portions ensured we left full and satisfied.
The rotating bar is awesome with comfy chairs and convenient service. Free validated valet parking is a nice perk.
Not ideal for kids—they’re allowed, but at this price point, they likely wouldn’t appreciate it.
Highly recommend for special occasions!

This was our first visit to the Sun Dial and we had a great time. The elevator ride to the top (70+ floors) was stunning, especially since we arrived at sunset. The service was outstanding, from our waiter Billy, to the rest of the staff. You can’t beat the atmosphere - up in the clouds in DT Atlanta. The food was great, we did not leave hungry. I’d consider the fact the experience is part of the food $$$. Overall, we had a great time and would gladly come back for another visit.

The food was enjoyable, but what truly set this visit apart was the overall experience. Beyond the stunning scenery, it was the level of care and professionalism that made the moment special. The views alone are impressive, yet the attentive, polished service elevated everything to another level. It felt like a return to a time when hospitality was thoughtful, personal, and done with pride—something that’s become rare these days. Moments like this remind you how meaningful great service can be, and how much it enhances an already beautiful setting.

I really wanted to love this place because the view is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight — you’re honestly paying for the view more than anything else.
The service was good, no complaints there. Our server was attentive and pleasant.
But the food? Not good at all. The ravioli was sooo nasty I literally had to spit it out. The oysters and steak were just okay — nothing special. The calamari was probably the best thing we had, and even that was just decent. The drinks were alright, but nothing memorable.
We paid almost $400, and it just wasn’t worth it for the quality of food. If you’re coming here, I’d honestly recommend eating first and just enjoying the view and drinks.
Beautiful scenery, good service — but the food was a huge letdown for the price.

stay near rather elevator doors. The view from the restaurant is a spectacular view of Atlanta. Note the restaurant doe NOT spin. So, if you are up to enjoy the sunset at for dinner make sure they seat you on the west side otherwise you will not see it. We had the Southern Fried Calamari with Pickled Okra and cherry peppers. They were good. I then had the Seared Day Boat Scallops with Brussels and my partner had Pumpkin Ravioli. Both dishes were very good. The meal was good but at least double the price I have payed for similar dishes for the view.
