The perfect place to spend a rainy day in Atlanta! I arrived around 1pm, unknowingly in time for a free tour from a museum Docent named Doug. He was lovely; very knowledgeable and kind, making the museum trip all the better. He led a small group of us through several specific art pieces, sharing context on the artist and the historical setting.
The museum is in partnership with Bank of America, so if you bring your bank card and photo ID, you can get in fee the first weekend of every month! I look forward to coming back for another tour soon, as they rotate the art every 6 weeks.

This beautifully curated collection of artwork is available for your viewing pleasure in Atlanta. I love the different collections and to my surprise there was the collection of Alicia Keys and her husband on display. The lighting, staff and overall vibe make this a great outing. They also have a jazz night for the grown and sexy folks. If you have not had the opportunity, do check out this museum. The museum offers a very nice gift shop as well with a variety of books and art related knickknacks. If you are a member, the parking is free as well.

I always have a great time perusing the exhibits at the High Museum of Art. I really enjoyed the Giants exhibit. The artwork was thought-provoking. Im looking forward to attending some of their evening events like High Frequency Friday.
The workers are friendly and very responsive. I went on a Wednesday morning, so there was no crowd, just a couple school groups.

Visited on a Sunday. It was my crowded but it was a good number of guests visiting as well. A lot of beautiful art. The place was clean. A lot to see. There was seating throughout to rest. There’s also a kid area. I didn’t have my kids when I went so I didn’t get any photos. Will definitely revisit with my kids.

It is a very nice art museum with a diverse range of exhibits. Street parking is a more affordable option, but spaces are limited. Currently, the lower and second floors of the main building are under construction, so there’s unfortunately less to see. Also, restrooms can be a bit hard to find. Despite that, it’s still a great place to explore art.
