I’ve been wanting to visit the High Museum of Art ever since I stumbled upon it during a random Google Maps search. Not many people know this, but I fancy myself an artist. I love going to museums for inspiration, to spark discussions, and to see what's popular in a city. I find myself pondering, "What is this piece saying?" and "What are the artists really communicating based on their descriptions?"
But I digress—let’s get to the review!
The High Museum is definitely in my top 5 museums in the U.S. I had the pleasure of visiting during the "Giants" exhibit, curated by none other than the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. The exhibit was great and truly showcased incredible talent.
The museum is a work of art in itself—a portrait of the landscapes of architecture. There are multiple floors to explore, each offering a unique perspective and experience.
I’ll definitely be back and plan to get a membership. Support the arts, folks!

Went to third Friday Jazz at the High Museum last week and although I’ve been before this particular jazz Friday felt truly special at least to me, like something extra energetically buzzing in the atmosphere. Well maybe that’s because the Giants, exhibit from the Dean collection of Alicia Keys and Swizzbeatz was on display in its first week at the High It was great to see everyone out, dressed up with vibes of excitement brewing.
The collection was nothing short of amazing, vibrant, colorful and stirred emotion. This is the first time that I felt I need to go back to re-visit one particular collection. Maybe that tour with the Docent, although a bit drawn out, did show me some tips on how to further appreciate viewing and taking in art in a professional and sophisticated way.

5 stars is right! This place had everything. Painting, sculptures, modern, classic, glassware, interactivity, diversity, photography, larger than life art, and more! I felt dwarfed by some of the pieces here. It was breath taking. The museum elevator wasn't working when we went but they do have ramps all the way to the top floor. They have a small cafe and a coffee shop within walking distance. Parking is close and it's 30$ for the day. 25 each to enter the museum. Gift shop has a variety of stuff and the prices are okay. Bathrooms were clean and accessible.

The High Museum of Art offers a profound reflection on the human experience, where diverse art genres converge to explore the vast spectrum of creativity and expression. Walking through its galleries is like traversing the corridors of the human soul, where every piece—whether classical or modern—holds a mirror to our emotions, history, and aspirations.
That said, the beauty of art often comes at a price, both metaphorically and literally. At $25 per person, one is reminded that while the pursuit of art is universal, its access can sometimes feel exclusive. The museum offers membership options for those seeking a deeper connection, though for travelers like us, they remained distant prospects, mere symbols of continuity in a fleeting visit.
Parking, too, bore a steep cost at $25 for the day, a necessary toll for the privilege of momentary immersion in this world of artistic wonder. Yet, despite these material concerns, the experience was ultimately enriching, a reminder that the value of art lies not in the price of admission but in its ability to make us pause, reflect, and transcend the ordinary.
In the end, the museum’s galleries leave you with more than just memories—they plant questions in your mind about the nature of creativity, the cost of access to culture, and the way art shapes and reshapes our understanding of the world.

The High Museum of Art is renowned for its impressive collection of art and its role as a cultural hub in the region. We went to Jazz night to see the GIANTS exhibit by Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats! Amazing Family fun.
