The experience at the Atlanta Botanical Garden was phenomenal! My favorite sections were the orchid house and the edible garden. The high elevator orchid exhibit has many very rare and special orchids that are tiny - including some pitcher plants as well. The layout of the entire garden is wonderful for meandering around on a nice day and I was surprised at how uncrowded each exhibit was despite coming at a peak weekend time.
We came during the day so we missed the Christmas lights, but I hear they are gorgeous and seem to be sprinkled throughout garden in unexpected and delightful ways.
As a native Californian was wasn’t too surprised by the cactus garden. The dry heat of the exhibit was a nice way to start our day because it was a bit chilly when we first arrived.
The larger suspension bridge section was beautiful and has seats so you can sit and enjoy the views.
I was happy that the rose garden was still blooming but I definitely think that this falls off the closer to winter that we get.
This would be perfect for families to bring their kids - in fact there is a train that goes round the plaza near the orchid promenade.
Parking was inexpensive (~5$) and admission was less than 60$ for two people. If I lived in town I would certainly get a membership and pay for the parking pass to reduce the cost of coming regularly.
10/10 would come again!

The holiday lights were very cool! The forest area on the canopy walk was absolutely stunning and the highlight of the garden for me. The lights changing with the music was beautiful.
I recommend getting tickets for 5pm. Why? Because you get to see the gardens both in the light and the dark! Walking through the greenhouse specifically was cool to see both ways. You can see in the pictures of the earth goddess just how dark it got during my stay.
The gift shop was also very nice. It had plenty of cute items and all of the holiday goods are 50% off. Overall, a perfect holiday activity for kids, adults, couples, everyone.

A Must-Visit!
I recently visited the Botanical Garden during their garden light show, and it was an experience like no other. The light display across the entire garden was absolutely stunning. There were several stalls offering food and hot cocoa, adding to the festive atmosphere. I highly recommend visiting, especially during this time of year when the light show is still on. It’s a beautiful experience you won’t want to miss!

Our family has visited the Botanic Gardens several times, but this was our first experience attending the Garden Lights event, and it was absolutely magical. The gardens are stunning during the day, with easy walking paths and beautiful displays, but at night, with the lights, it transforms into something truly enchanting.
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to attend. Despite the event being sold out, the crowd management was excellent. We never felt like we had to wait long to see anything, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening.
A special shout-out to a security officer named Marquita, who made our visit even more memorable. We ran into her a couple of times, and she went above and beyond to enhance our experience. She kindly pointed out activities we might have missed, like the s’mores station and the canopy light show, and even took a moment to snap a family photo for us. What impressed us most was her kindness toward our kids and her incredible attention to detail—she remembered their names when we saw her again later in the evening.
This was a wonderful holiday memory for our family, and we can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back next year!

This review is only for the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Holiday Light Event. Beautiful lights, nice music and the lights were also coordinated with the music which makes it very interesting. The music selections are very interesting and fun. One time, we heard Hallelujah, and not too long afterward, the Mission Impossible song! And the lights keep changing to match the song theme, which makes it very entertaining. The miniature trains are so cute, we all love it. The green house is so serene, and of course, the Poinsettia Christmas tree is so nice. Please do buy the tickets in advance, they also have Smores station and of course drink booths. Be ready to get stuck in traffic, especially during the weekend, to get into the park, so plan your trip accordingly. We came here two years in a row, and they changed the lights and the placement to make it worthwhile to visit it year after year. Kudos to whomever that designed the lights and the music. And BTW, we feel safe throughout the experience despite the large crowd.
