Freedom Hall is located between Martin Luther king Jnr birth home and the iconic Ebenezer Baptist Church, Freedom Hall is a free to enter museum. Freedom Hall is a museum dedicated to the memory and life of Martin Luther King Jnr , it charts in much detail the life timeline of him, it also includes his rock of a wife Coretta King who continued his life’s work after his murder, her life time line is also charted in details, there is so much memorabilia which includes clothes, awards, books etc, much of what you see or listen to actually can bring you too tears, why do fellow humans treat other fellow humans in such inhumane way because of the colour of one’s skin, it’s painful and to think this was happening only 60 years ago. There is a section dedicated to Gandhi who was Martin Luther King Jnr inspiration / mentor who inspired to the way of non violent protest. This place is a must visit place

Visiting the Freedom Hall Museum was an incredible experience during my summer as a policy fellow. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into our nation's history, highlighting pivotal moments and unsung heroes. One interesting fact I learned is that the museum houses one of the original copies of the Emancipation Proclamation, which was awe-inspiring to see in person. The exhibits are not only informative but also provide a unique learning opportunity. They delve deep into the historical context of the periods they cover, offering insights that you won't find in textbooks. The stories of resilience and determination shared throughout the museum are truly inspirational. I wholeheartedly recommend the Freedom Hall Museum to anyone interested in history or looking for some inspiration. It's a place where you can reflect on the past and gain a deeper understanding of the struggles and triumphs that have shaped our present.

Beautiful displays of both Dr. King and Coretta Scott King memorabilia as well as exhibits for Gandhi and Rosa Parks (this one was closed while we visited). Very clean, with restrooms and vending machines located inside. The store is also very classy- no souvenirs just to make a buck off his name everything was very on par with Dr. King and his messages. Overall loved the experience and everyone we bumped into 😊 also we parked in the king center parking for free and walked down the block to see everything. The lot was basically empty when we arrived at noon on a Friday!

Freedom Hall Museum is one spectacular museum. You should really go with time to spare so you can appreciate and read all the history that is displayed there. 2 floors between Ghandi and MLK that any history fan, regardless of skin color, can definitely enjoy

The gift shop sells similar items from the MLK home - just FYI if you can't find it at the other place.
